People who get an NBI clearance used to take long lines and take forever because of the manual process. In 2018, the government implemented an online application system for booking an appointment, so you can secure a schedule to process your clearance quickly.
Here is a quick guide on how to get an NBI clearance.
How to Register on NBI
For first time visitors, you need to register on the NBI website. Open your browser and go to https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/. If you have existing account, you can sign in with your registered email.
The page will ask you if you have an old NBI clearance – clearance released before January 2014. If you have, click ‘Yes.’ It will ask you for your old NBI clearance number.
If you answered ‘No,’ you will be asked to fill up the form.
Note: If you don’t have a middle name, type ‘Not Applicable’ or ‘MNU’ (Middle Name Unknown). If your full name has “Ñ” and it isn’t accepted in the system, bring that to the attention of the NBI officer upon your face-to-face appointment so they can correct it for you.
Now, you can sign in using the email address and password you used to register your account. Fill up the necessary details and click ‘Save Information.’ Check the details, then click ‘Apply for Clearance’ the button on the upper right.
Select the ID you will present during your appointment. Enter the ID number and click ‘Agree.’
