BDO online banking 101: How to enrol your BDO account
Setting your financial goals is very important, especially now that we are facing a pandemic. We need to be more hands-on with our money, so it’s better to enroll your account in an online banking system.
If you have an account in Banco De Oro or BDO, this guide is for you!
How to enroll in BDO online banking
It’s better to use a desktop for easy application. Go to https://online.bdo.com.ph and click ‘Enroll Now!’ Select the type of account to enroll, choose “Within the Philippines,” fill out the form, and click on “Submit.”
Ensure that the mobile number you submitted is active because this is where you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) before you can log in to their online banking facility.
Take note of your ATM Activation Code found on the acknowledgment page because you will need this for your enrollment activation. Go to any BDO ATM and use your ATM Debit Card. Select ‘Other Services’ then ‘Activate Electronic Banking.’ Enter your ATM Activation Code.
**if you’re a client enrolling outside the Philippines:
Go to www.bdo.com.ph, click ‘Online Banking,’ then ‘Enrol Now.’
Select ‘Outside the Philippines, fill out the form and click ‘Submit.’
Wait for a call from BDO Customer Service Office to verify your enrolment within five (5) banking days.
Wait for the activation email. You may access your BDO Online Banking account upon receiving the email.
You can now download the BDO banking app on your smartphone so you can easily access your account, transfer money or pay bills!
How to transfer money to BDO user
Log in to your BDO account. *You will receive a one-time pin to your registered number. Please enter the code within 5 minutes, or it will expire. Then, click ‘Proceed.’ On the menu on the left side of the screen, click ‘Send Money.’
‘To any BDO Account.’ Choose the source account or the account you
want to transfer money from. Enter the amount, account number of the
account you wish to transfer. Click ‘Submit.’ Review the confirmation
page, then select ‘Continue.’ Another OTP will be sent to you via
text and click submit.
Take a screenshot of the page telling your transaction has been successful and the reference number. It can be handy in case you encounter a problem.
How to transfer to another bank
There are two ways to transfer to another bank: through InstaPay or PESONet.
InstaPay is a new electronic fund transfer service that provides real-time, low-value payment transactions with real-time confirmation of credit to the payee.
Meanwhile, PESONet is an account to account fund transfer service that supports bulk, recurring, non-time-sensitive payment transactions.
Log in through BDO Personal Banking or Mobile Banking, choose ‘Send Money,’ then select ‘To Another Local Bank.’ Pick ‘Instapay’ and fill in the details. Enter OTP sent to your phone and confirmed the details.
Login through BDO Business Online Banking. Choose ‘Standard Services.’ Select ‘Outward Payment’ then click ‘PESONET.’ Fill in the details and confirm.
How to Pay Bills
Log in to your BDO Online Banking account at https://online.bdo.com.ph. You need to enroll your biller first. Click ‘Enrollment,’ select Company or Biller. Then, choose ‘Enroll.’ Fill out the enrollment details and click submit. Once enrolled, go to ‘Pay Bills and reload,’ click ‘Bills Payment,’ then choose ‘Pay Bills.’ Click ‘Enrolled Billers,’ fill out payment details and click ‘Continue.’
When you’re using mobile banking, you also need to enroll the biller. Click the ‘Enrollment Services’ then select ‘Enroll Company/Biller.’ Fill out the enrollment details. Once done, go to ‘Pay Bills,’ select ‘Enrolled Billers.’ Fill out payment details and click ‘Continue.’
